Media relations specialist, Select Health of South Carolina
Responsible for leading the company’s media relations activities. As a highly visible team member reporting to the director of communications, position serves as the primary point of contact for print and broadcast media. Duties include, but are not limited to, daily news media monitoring, story pitching, writing press releases and speeches, organizing media events, developing relationships with statewide media contacts and special event planning.

Qualifications:

• Highly-motivated self-starter with strong news judgment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• BS degree in Mass Communications or Journalism (or related experience)
• Minimum of three years handling media relations
• Minimum of two years handling special events
• Medicaid managed care experience a plus.
